ROLE

Experience Design, Concept, 3D, Sound

A half-virtual, half-reality based experience that takes the participant from one world 'Lok', to the other - 'Klailas'.

THE PROJECT

The Story

Cyface is about a part of society, Klailas, that uses its control over the spread of information to create demand for a digital face - a representation of the ideal life. This story is told through the eyes of a person from Lok (the part of society affected), as they ascend to Klailas.
WORLD BUILDING

The Two Worlds

Part One: Lok

We created sculptures and masks of the Lok people. The experience displayed ads to emphasize how the 'digital face' was sold to the people. Participants could also hear the thoughts of the Lok people using headphones.
Part Two: Klailas

The participants would follow the footsteps on the ground, that would take them to the second part of the experience. The VR experience (still a prototype) is experienced in a lying down position to instil a feeling of “calmness”, much like the visuals of Klailas as the participants go through the remaining story.
